Creating your company profile

To run or sponsor events on HackerSquad, you need a company profile. Here’s how to set one up:
1

Navigate to the Company Portal

After signing in, click Company Portal in the navigation. If you don’t have a company yet, you’ll be prompted to create one.
2

Fill in your company details

Complete the company profile form:
  • Company name — your official company or organization name
  • Logo — upload a square logo image (displayed across event pages and sponsorship listings)
  • Description — a brief overview of what your company does, the tools you offer, or the developer community you serve
  • Website URL — your company’s website
3

Submit for verification

After saving your profile, it enters a verification queue. The HackerSquad team reviews company profiles to ensure quality and legitimacy.
4

Start using the platform

Once verified, your company profile appears publicly on event pages and in the sponsorship marketplace. You can now create events, sponsor other events, and access DevRel tools based on your plan.
Company profiles must be verified before appearing publicly on the platform. Verification typically happens within a few business days.

Verification

Company verification confirms that your organization is legitimate and ready to interact with the HackerSquad community. Verified companies get:
  • Public visibility on event pages and the event marketplace
  • Ability to receive sponsorship inquiries from Squad Leaders
  • Full access to plan features (Social Content Generator, Cloud IDE, etc.)
Unverified companies can still create events and configure settings, but won’t appear publicly until verification is complete.

Adding team members

Once your company is created, you can invite team members to collaborate:
1

Go to Team Management

In the Company Portal, navigate to Team to view your current team.
2

Invite by email

Click Invite Member and enter the email address of the person you want to add. They’ll receive an email invitation to join your company on HackerSquad.
3

Manage your team

View all team members (name, email, avatar, join date), resend pending invitations, or revoke invitations that haven’t been accepted yet.
Invite your team early so they can help manage events and access the Company Dashboard.

Multiple companies

A single HackerSquad account can be associated with multiple companies. If you manage or belong to more than one organization, you can switch between them using the active company selector in the Company Portal. Your active company determines which dashboard, events, and settings you see.
